How to Prepare for Your Branded Content Photoshoot

By Dan Quiñones

1. Tidy and Reset Your Space
Clear surfaces, remove clutter, wipe tables, and reset key areas. A clean environment helps us capture strong, professional visuals.

2. Stage a Few “Hero Areas”
While the shoot is mostly candid, choose 2–3 spots you want highlighted (bar top, production space, tasting area). Make sure they’re photo-ready.

3. Prep Product Inventory
Have fresh product available—whether it’s food, beer flights, bottles, or merchandise. Ensure labels, pours, and plating look their best and are wiped down.

4. Choose Staff/Potential Talent
Select team members or friends who are comfortable being photographed. Natural interactions and genuine moments elevate the candid style.

5. Plan for Light Foot Traffic
If possible, schedule during a time with a manageable crowd. A steady flow of people creates energy, while avoiding overcrowding keeps shots clean.

6. Communicate with Your Team
Let staff know we’ll be filming and photographing. Aligned communication keeps operations smooth and helps everyone feel at ease. Do a social post or print flyers.

7. Prepare Any Key Story Points
If there are brand elements you want captured—special ingredients, barrels, equipment, signature dishes, seasonal items—set them aside so they’re ready.

8. Final Touch-Ups Before We Begin
Wipe down glassware, polish taps, straighten chairs, adjust signage, and ensure anything in-frame looks intentional. Small touches make a big difference.
